The Practice staff will always treat patients and their representatives with respect. We ask that patients and their representatives return the courtesy when interacting with our team.
The NHS has a zero tolerance policy with regards to violence and abuse. The practice has the right to remove violent patients from our list immediately to safeguard practice staff, patients and others.
No form of aggression, whether verbal or physical, will be tolerated. Any incidents of such behaviour may lead to the perpetrator being reported to the police and removed from the practice’s registered patients.
Violence includes any actual or threatened physical violence or verbal abuse that causes fear for someones safety. In these cases, we will inform the patient in writing about their removal from the list. We will also record this in the patient’s medical records along with the reasons for it.
