Our Advanced Nurse Practitioner sees patients with minor aliments. She can refer and prescribe.
We have three nurses Deborah, Karen and Sarah. They provide a range of nursing services including dressings, ear 'syringing, immunisations, injections and cervical smears. Both have intensive primary care experience and are happy to advise on common illnesses and injuries as well as giving dietary and other life style advice. Female patients may also wish to discuss contraception and menopausal issues with them. They run Clinics for Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Airways Disease, Diabetes, Healthy Heart and Hypertension. They give travel immunisations and advice. The nurses also give immunisations including influenza and pneumovax.
Our Healthcare Assistants are Lisa, Keeley and Chloe. They hold regular clinics for blood tests (which have been ordered by a doctor) and blood pressure checks. They also hold clinics for INR, NHS health checks, smoking cessation, ear irriagtion and ECG's.

We have two Medical Secretaries. They are responsible for providing a full secretarial service for the Practice, both NHS and private referrals.
We also employ a number of administrative staff.
We have a Reception Supervisor Keeley Widdowson, and ten other receptionists who are experienced and regularly attend specialist courses qualifying them for their demanding job.
Please note that the Reception staff act at all times in accordance with guidelines given to them by the doctors and Practice Manager.
We have an attached Midwife from Jessop Wing Hospital who cares for expectant mothers and attends for the first 10 days after baby is born. She also organises parent craft classes and prepares expectant mothers for labour.
We have attached District Nurses who work with your doctor in caring for you in your own home. If you are housebound please contact the surgery for more information.
We have attached Health Visitors who hold Child Health Clinics by appointment. Please ask at reception for contact details.
We have the services of four counsellors who see patients at the surgery by appointment. Patients must be referred for this service.
We have the services of a Pharmacist who works 4 days a week in Surgery, and a Physiotherapist who works 2 days a week in Surgery.
